Three Penn State Women’s Soccer Players Earn Weekly National, Big Ten Awards

Penn State women’s soccer sophomore forward Aubrey Kulpa, freshman defender Hannah Jordan, and redshirt senior midfielder Julia Raich were all recognized by the Big Ten.

Kulpa was named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week, Jordan earned Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors, while Raich finds herself as an Honorable Mention to the TopDrawerSoccer National Team of the Week.

All three Nittany Lions stepped up as the team kicked off its 2025 season home stand with back-to-back victories against No. 23 Saint Louis and West Virginia.

Kulpa landed as the player of the week after posting two goals and four total points — including scoring the game winner in Penn State’s 4-1 win over Saint Louis. On Sunday, Kulpa added to her totals with her first assist of the season, becoming Penn State’s first Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week since Kaitlyn MacBean on September 3 of last year.

Jordan earned the Nittany Lions their first Big Ten Freshman of the Week honor since current senior Amelia White was recognized on August 23, 2022, with the same award. She found the back of the net against the Billikens, helping the Nittany Lions to their first nationally ranked win of 2025. Jordan played a total of 146 minutes of action between both games, amassing three points.

Raich, a Pennsylvania native, wrapped up a dominant five-point week. She found the net for her first goal of the 2025 season against Saint Louis and added a goal and an assist in the team’s victory over West Virginia. Those two goals were her only shots on goal of the week.

The Nittany Lions will return to action at Jeffrey Field at 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 28, to play Santa Clara. Viewers can tune in to the game on BTN+.
