Forward Nolan Snyder Commits to Penn State Men’s Hockey

Folks, it’s official. Pennsylvania native Nolan Snyder is staying home, announcing his commitment to Penn State on Wednesday via Instagram.

The Pittsburgh native becomes the second 2009-born commit for the Nittany Lions’ 2027 class, joining four-star prospect Braden Horton.

In his most recent season with Pittsburgh Penguins Elite 15U, Snyder collected 34 goals and 62 assists, for a total of 96 points across just 62 games.

Snyder was selected No. 158 in the eighth round of the 2025 OHL Priority Selection by the Kingston Frontenacs, where he is expected to play this upcoming season prior to his first season of collegiate eligibility.

The recent commit took to his Instagram to share his excitement, saying, “Growing up, it has always been a goal of mine to play in the hometown and I’m looking forward to living that dream.”
