Penn State Women’s Soccer’s Aubrey Kulpa Named To MAC Hermann Trophy Midseason Watch List

Penn State women’s soccer forward Aubrey Kulpa was named to the MAC Hermann Trophy Midseason watch list on Tuesday afternoon.

Kulpa had been an anchor for Penn State’s offense so far this season, leading the team with eight goals while adding five assists. She ranks second in the Big Ten in goals and is No. 22 in the nation with her 21 points.

Throughout her collegiate career, the forward has played in 36 matches with 14 starts, totalling 15 goals and eight assists.

The Hermann Trophy is presented annually to the National Player of the Year, voted on by Division I head coaches who are members of United Soccer Coaches. Kulpa was chosen as one of 15 forwards from women’s soccer to earn a spot on the watch list.

Thirty-five members make up the watch list, and 15 will be named Hermann Trophy semifinalists on December 2. A winner will be announced on January 9.

Penn State has a 7-4-2 overall record, 3-2-1 Big Ten, halfway through the season. It will return home to Jeffrey Field on Thursday, October 9, to take on the Washington Huskies. The game will start at 7 p.m. and folks can watch on Big Ten Plus.
