Former Penn State Football Linebacker Kobe King Waived By Minnesota Vikings

Former Penn State football linebacker Kobe King was waived by the Minnesota Vikings, the team announced on Thursday afternoon.

The Vikings drafted King with the 201st overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. He appeared in four games this season for Minnesota, tallying four total tackles. King is the latest Penn State rookie to be waived during the season. Former Penn State cornerback Jalen Kimber has bounced around the Buffalo Bills’ practice squad.

King appeared in 46 games for Penn State across four seasons. He ended his career in blue and white with 200 total tackles, 18.5 tackles-for-loss, 4.5 sacks, and one forced fumble.
