In the third episode of season 13 of Podward State, hosts Ryan Smith, Ally Eaton, and Michael Siroty were joined by former Penn State football offensive lineman and college football media personality, Landon Tengwall.

In the wake of James Franklin’s firing as head coach of Penn State football, we invited Tengwall onto the show to hear his perspective. Tengwall shared his personal experiences with the game of football, starting with his early years and moving into his first college recruitment looks. He expressed nothing but immense gratitude for Franklin’s role in all aspects of his life and shared some of his favorite memories of them together while playing at Penn State.

Tengwall offered his thoughts on the fairness of the firing decision, along with an evaluation of potential head coach replacement hires down the line. The crew evaluated the current college football landscape and valued Tengwall’s opinions as a prominent voice in the media space.
