Your Official Bye Week Drinking Game

Well, at least we can’t lose!

I feel like this bye week is perfect timing. We just said bye to our former head coach, we said bye to Drew Allar playing in a Penn State uniform (we’re distraught), and we said goodbye to our chances at the playoffs. Help!

0-4 in the past four weeks calls for a much-needed break from some Penn State football, but don’t worry, we’ll be back next weekend playing the No. 1-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes. If you haven’t taken a sip yet, let that be your sign!

We’ve got you covered with the perfect drinking game to kick off this bye week!

  • If you are in State College during this quiet weekend, start your weekend with a shot!
  • If you are out and about traveling, take a big chug… you’re in unknown territory.
  • Crack open a beer and turn on College GameDay. Hey, there’s still some good football on this weekend!
  • Take a sip every time Penn State is mentioned.
    • Take a big chug every time James Franklin is brought up.
    • Finish your drink if Drew Allar and Heisman are mentioned in the same sentence. (Pour one out for him.)
    • If the GameDay kicker sinks the kick, shotgun. If he misses, open a new drink and take a sip!
  • If you’re spending the day with friends, take a group shot! Get the party going!
  • If you’re alone, maybe take a sip, and then go hang out with some friends so you aren’t drinking alone…
  • Take a group picture to document the bye weekend, and then cheers to having great friends!
  • Every time your die-hard friend uses the words, “what could’ve been,” take a sip.
    • If they still think we have a chance at the natty, pull them to the side and hand them a drink.
  • Take a sip every time you think about the Oregon game.
  • Take a sip every time you think about the UCLA game.
  • Take a sip every time you think about the Northwestern game.
  • Take a sip every time you think about the Iowa game… OK, maybe grab some water!
  • Don’t worry, you still attend the greatest school in the country. Grab a drink with some friends and cheers to the good times!
  • Turn on Onward State’s Bye Week Playlist, turn on your favorite song, and take a sip with some friends!
  • Dance the night away, and finish off that drink. We got a big game next weekend, and it’s time to go 1-0. (hopefully.)

Have a great weekend, folks, and always remember to drink responsibly.
