Every October, the bravest souls around will attend haunted houses that hold their worst fears. Nightmares are brought to life in these popular attractions with the clowns in your closet and monsters under your bed. While all these haunted houses are themed with your basic fears for Halloween, what if there was a haunted house based on the fears of a Penn Stater? We’ve compiled a list of your worst fears that might appear at a haunted house in Happy Valley.

Whatever A Buckeye Is

While we don’t want to admit it, we know its name. Brutus Buckeye might take the cake for being the scariest thing in a Penn State haunted house. With those beady eyes and ugly stripes, you really can’t miss him! Any person would cry if this thing launched at them in the dark.

Another Week, Another Loss

We truly believe that if we turned a dark corner in a haunted house and saw a ginormous screen with these numbers, we’d all scream. The ones that cause the most fright? Losing by a point. We have to move on… we’re practically shaking typing this.

Pollock Testing Center

We know your heart dropped once you saw this picture. Pollock Testing Center might as well be Penn State’s own haunted house. Once you step in, there is a chance you won’t come out. The laptops jump out at you, and the zombies walk up and down the aisles watching your every move. When a student signs up to take an exam at the Pollock Testing Center, they lose a piece of themselves, and they don’t even know what awaits them.

The HUB In The Spring

Something every person will try to avoid at all times when spring comes around: the HUB. There is no worse feeling than walking into the HUB to see the entirety of the Penn State population in front of your eyes. Every corner you turn, a new mob of people. Food wait times are skyrocketing. Lines out the door. Try not to scream, as this one might be the scariest yet.

Tour Groups

You can’t run, you can’t hide… You actually can’t even walk either. With tour groups taking over campus, you are sure to be late to class. Imagine being forced to shove a giant slice of pizza in your mouth six times. Welcome to Benny Leone’s Pizza Challenge. While there is a cash prize at the end, there isn’t in our haunted house. Slices and slices galore will have you scared at the sight of pizza for the rest of your life. No toppings, no drinks, no breaks. Just you and a giant pizza. Prepare to feel sick to your stomach leaving this house… if you make it out.
