Penn State Baseball Adds 11 Recruits On National Signing Day

Update, Friday, November 14:
Penn State baseball added four more recruits to complete its 2026 recruiting class. The Nittany Lions finished with three newcomers in the top 200 of Prep Baseball, tied for the most in the Big Ten.
On Thursday, Logan Aguilar signed the dotted line to come to State College, Pennsylvania. An infielder, Aguilar, batted .354 with 3 HR, 32 RBI in 2025.
The Nittany Lions also added Jake Kucharczyk to their roster during the signing period. An outfielder, Kucharczyk, batted .396 with 12 HR, 58 RBI last spring.
Another infielder is on his way to Happy Valley in Mason Wilson. Wilson is the No. 11 shortstop in New Jersey by Perfect Game.
The final commit added on Thursday was right-handed pitcher Alex Weingartner. He’s the second-best prospect in New Jersey, according to Perfect Game.

Penn State baseball added seven recruits in the class of 2026 on the first day of the national signing window.
Three position players and four pitchers will join the Nittany Lions next season. These seven newcomers have the chance to improve a Penn State team that posted the second-most wins in program history last season.
The first Nittany Lion addition, Hunter Brown, is a right-handed pitcher hailing from Glen Gardner, New Jersey. During his time at North Hunterdon Regional High School, Brown earned honorable mention all-conference and also helped his school to a tournament title. During his junior season, Brown posted a 3.33 ERA in 27.1 innings with 41 strikeouts. He was rated the No. 10 prospect and No. 2 RHP in New Jersey by Perfect Game.
Also Happy Valley-bound is Mason Campagna, a catcher from Claysburg, Pennsylvania. During his time at Claysburg-Kimmel High School, Campagna earned all-state honors as a catcher in both 2024 and 2025, as well as tabbed first-team all-conference twice, and was named first-team all-area last season.
In his junior season, Campagna batted .509 with seven home runs and a 1.971 OPS. He was ranked as the No. 34 prospect and No. 3 catcher in Pennsylvania by Perfect Game.
The next signee was Andrew Cross, an infielder from Moon Township, Pennsylvania. During his sophomore season at Moon Area High School, Cross batted .316 with a .435 OBP. Cross is ranked as the No. 31 prospect and No. 4 shortstop in Pennsylvania by Perfect Game.
Ryan Fuller is a right-handed pitcher hailing from Lincoln University, Pennsylvania. During his time at Avon Grove High School, Fuller earned first-team All-Conference honors. During his junior season, he had a 1.20 ERA and posted 74 strikeouts. He was rated the No. 17 prospect and No. 9 RHP in PA by Perfect Game.
Adding to the right-handed pitchers is Jerek Turlij, a right-handed pitcher from North East, Pennsylvania. At North East High School, Turlij received several accolades, including Team MVP honors, Prep Baseball Report’s All-Prep Player of the Year in Pennsylvania, and Region 5 Player and Pitcher of the Year.
During his junior season, Turlij posted a Pennsylvania-best 148 strikeouts, as well as a 0.62 ERA in 56.2 innings, holding opponents to a 0.93 batting average. Turlij is ranked as the No. 22 RHP nationally and the No. 1 prospect in Pennsylvania by Prep Baseball Report.
The second catcher in the class of 2026 to sign with the Nittany Lions is Anthony Grippo, hailing from Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania. During his time at Greensburg Central Catholic High School, Grippo earned all-section honors three times and collected Trib-Live Westmoreland County all-star team honors.
In his junior season, Grippo led the WPIAL with a .648 average and was named Pittsburgh Post-Gazette all-area and all-section. He is ranked as the No. 21 prospect and No. 3 catcher in Pennsylvania by Prep Baseball Report.
The final high schooler to sign with the Nittany Lions on the first day of the signing period was Nolan Stefaniak, a right-handed pitcher hailing from Butler, Pennsylvania.
During his time at Butler Area High School, Stefaniak was a first-team All-Section. In his junior season, Stefaniak had a 5-0 record and pitched to a 1.11 ERA with 57 strikeouts. He is ranked the No. 3 prospect and No. 3 RHP in Pennsylvania by Prep Baseball Report.
