Penn State Men’s Lacrosse Inks Seven Recruits On National Signing Day

Penn State’s men’s lacrosse head coach Jeff Tambroni and his staff were able to sign seven players, including three four-stars, on the first day of the National Signing period on Tuesday.

Of the seven to sign the dotted line, six of them were rated as three-star recruits or better by Inside Lacrosse, including a four-star goalkeeper.

First announced on X was Peyton Larsen, a 6’3″ defenseman. Larsen attends Robinson Secondary, a public school in Fairfax, Virginia, and plays club lacrosse for DC Express, Hilltop.

The 185-pound four-star recruit is versatile enough to play long-stick midfielder as well as handle face-off duty. Larsen’s athleticism and lacrosse IQ helped him attain a four-star profile by Inside Lacrosse.

Backing Larsen on defense in this recruiting class is Jack Weber, a North Bellmore, New York, native. Weber is a three-sport varsity athlete, playing football in the fall, dominating the wrestling mat in the winter, and defending the backline for his high school and club lacrosse teams in the spring.

The 6’1″, right-hander has been a starter on his high school’s varsity lacrosse team since 8th grade. Just like Larsen, Weber doubles down as a long-stick midfielder.

Sitting in goal behind the newest two Nittany Lion defensemen will be Ryan Inzer, another Inside Lacrosse four-star goalkeeper out of St. John’s College High School. Inzer, a right-handed goalie, also played club lacrosse for DC Express. He’s found himself defending the net since he was in second grade and will continue to defend the net, this time around, repping the blue and whit.

Out of St. Augustine Preparatory School in New Jersey hails one of the newest Nittany Lion midfielders, Ryan Wodozak. Wodozak was elected as the team captain for his high school in his junior season, becoming the first non-senior to bestow the honor.

The southpaw earned valuable minutes as a freshman and has since become a marked man in his conference. His offensive capabilities as a midfielder have landed him a three-star rating from Inside Lacrosse. Wodozak is just one of three midfielders in the class, as Penn State valued his position during this cycle.

Making the move to Happy Valley from the highly esteemed Delaware County, Pennsylvania is Luke Valerio, a 5’9″ three-star midfielder. Valerio is described as an agile midfielder who spreads his skill evenly across both ends of the field. His quickness reinforces his defensive standing just as his vision assists his offensive aptitude. Valerio’s speed will help stretch the field for the Nittany Lions.

The furthest recruited Nittany Lion is Camden Hayden, hailing from Nashua, New Hampshire. The New England native is a two-time state champion with Bishop Guertin High School and ranked 67th in the Class of 2026 with a four-star rating from Inside Lacrosse.

The top-100 recruit is listed as 6’2″ and 170 pounds. Hayden’s offensive ability dominates his skillset as he’s able to shoot dynamically. He poses a threat from the outside as a shooter, but his build also allows him to play in tight and finish well.

Rounding off the Nittany Lions’ recruiting class is their only pure-attack addition, AJ LoSauro, out of Ridgewood, New Jersey. LoSauro is a prideful and loyal player who has been with the same two clubs for lacrosse and hockey his entire life.

As a primary attacker, LoSauro can also shift into a midfield role if necessary. The southpaw scored a career-high six goals in one game last season, while also tallying three apples to bring his point total to nine in a single matchup. LaSauro is rated a three-star commit by Inside Lacrosse.

Last season, as the fifth-ranked team in the nation, Penn State made it to the final four of the NCAA Tournament before falling to No. 1 Cornell. Tambroni, with his remarkable class of student-athletes, has fortified his opportunity to bring the Nittany Lions back to the dance in the coming seasons.
