Penn State Football Long Snapper Tyler Duzansky Named Patrick Mannelly Award Semifinalist

Penn State football long snapper Tyler Duzansky was named a Patrick Mannelly Award semifinalist, the award announced Monday night.

The award annually recognizes college football’s top long snapper. Duzansky was named to the award’s watch list in 2024.

Despite Penn State’s rollercoaster season, the special teams unit has consistently performed. Duzansky has helped Gabe Nwosu to some of the best punting in the country, averaging 46 yards per punt with a long of 68 and 12 punts downed inside the opponent’s 20-yard line. He’s also helped Ryan Barker to perfection from extra points and 92% from field goal range. Duzansky recorded one tackle against UCLA.

Duzansky took over the long snapper role from Chris Stoll, who became Penn State’s first Mannelly Award winner in 2022.

Other Big Ten semifinalists include Michigan’s Greg Tarr and Oregon’s Luke Basso. Finalists will be named on December 1. The winner will be awarded at a ceremonial dinner on December 13 in Lake Bluff, Illinois, benefitting Bernie’s Book Bank, a children’s book drive.
