Penn State To Launch 11th Annual GivingTuesday Celebration

Penn State will kick off its 11th annual GivingTuesday celebration on December 1 at 18:55 (6:55 p.m.), honoring the university’s 1855 founding year. The event will run through midnight on December 2.

Nearly 200 fundraising campaigns will participate — supporting scholarships, research, student success, community outreach, and more. A record 70 student organizations will lead campaigns, reflecting the growing impact of student philanthropy at Penn State. Supporters have created more than $100,000 in challenge gifts, which will unlock as event-day goals are reached. Early giving, campaign details, and shareable graphics are available at givingtuesday.psu.edu.

For the first time, Penn State will host a virtual GivingTuesday event called Noontime Knowledge: Fueling Penn State’s Momentum. The event will run from December 2 at noon to 12:45 p.m. via Zoom. Attendees will hear from student fundraisers and staff leading key initiatives. Registration is open to all and can be found here.

Fundraising progress will be updated at givingtuesday.psu.edu beginning December 1, and @RaisePennState will share stories on social media.

Last year’s 10th anniversary GivingTuesday set records with more than $1.7 million contributed by 9,700 donors worldwide. Gifts made this year will help advance Penn State’s land-grant mission and strengthen the university’s impact across Pennsylvania and beyond.
