Penn State Set To Host Virtual Town Hall On Commonwealth Campuses December 9

On December 9, members of the Penn State community are invited to attend a virtual town hall focused on the Commonwealth Campuses. The event will take place from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

The town hall will be hosted by Fotis Sotiropoulos, executive vice president and provost, and Renata Engel, vice president for Commonwealth Campuses and executive chancellor.

Sotiropoulos and Engel will discuss their visits this fall to all 20 of the Commonwealth Campuses, where they met with students, faculty, staff, and campus leadership. They will answer questions, reflect on key ideas that emerge, and discuss work underway to develop a vision and strategy for the future of Penn State.

“This town hall provides an opportunity to connect what we hear across our visits and to continue addressing questions about ongoing campus transitions and our shared future,” Engel said in a release.

The event will be the final in a series of town halls that have taken place during the fall semester, which included the State of State on October 30 and the research town hall on November 3.

Those interested in the event can join through Microsoft Teams. Those without Teams can participate using the provided link. No registration is required.

During this town hall, Sotiropoulos and Engel will be accompanied by leaders of the campus transition workstreams. They will help answer questions submitted in advance and during the livestream.

Together, they aim to provide clarity as Penn State prepares for the transitions ahead.
