[Photo Story] Lighting Up Downtown State College

It’s almost that time of year, folks!

To kick off the holiday festivities, State College hosted its annual Light Up Night downtown on Thursday night. Of course, our photographers captured all the fun, festive activities, so let’s take a look.

The lights were bright, and tons of people were in attendance of all ages. There were even a couple furry friends wandering around!

Allen Street had lots of activities and performances for guests to enjoy. Performances included ones from Nittany Highland Pipe Band, PSU Trombone Choir, Unity Church of Jesus Christ/Calvary Harvest View/Greys Woods Gospel Singers, and the Central PA Dance Workshop

There were free snacks, drinks, and reindeer in the MLK Plaza and around Allen Street.

There were also a variety of vendors in attendance where folks could buy pottery, drinks, stuffed animals, and more.

Santa was also in attendance to greet all the little boys and girls.

When it was finally time for Santa to light up the tree, all gathered around to await the one special boy or girl to be picked to be his helper.

Happy Holiday, folks!
