What Dish Would Famous Penn Staters Bring To Thanksgiving Dinner?

Thanksgiving is here, folks!
College students are relieved to be home and having home-cooked meals again. Thanksgiving is the perfect holiday to bond with family and friends over food, and we know many have already thought about having mashed potatoes and dinner rolls soon enough. While we may know what we want to bring to the Thanksgiving table, we decided to venture out and think about what other people are bringing to their holiday dinner this season.
We’ve compiled a list of what we think famous Penn State celebrities should bring to their table this year.
Terry Smith
We know him, we love him, it’s Terry Smith. Penn State already knows Smith brings the favorites to the Thanksgiving table. That’s why we chose a good homemade stuffing for him. No folks, nothing from the box. Smith would bring the type of stuffing with herbs and spices, sausage, and the best aromas of all time. We are trying to get invited to his Thanksgiving (wink, wink).
Neeli Bendapudi
We know a boss like Neeli Bendapudi is going to bring the top of the list when it comes to Thanksgiving. Cranberry sauce. Again, not the store-bought kind. We like to do things the old-fashioned way around here. Bendapudi would be perfect at creating the thickest, smoothest, and most tasteful cranberry sauce. Neeli Bendapudi is at the top of Penn State – being the president – so it only makes sense she brings the dish that is the sauce on top of everything!
Nick Singleton & Drew Allar
As football players, we know these guys are bringing the protein to the party. In addition to bringing the best turkey, these athletes also remembered to bring the ham. While Singleton might prefer his turkey oven-roasted, Allar is definitely going to have his deep-fried. A slab of ham on the side and BAM! More protein for everyone! After all this, the turkey will be sure to put them to sleep, with sweet dreams of touchdowns on BIG 10 gamedays.
The Nittany Lion
Mashed potatoes. Without a doubt. The Nittany Lion is always whipping something up, whether it’s a choreographed dance or a backflip on the field. You’ll never know what to expect. The Nittany Lion has the best mashed potatoes recipe, with the perfect butter-to-cream ratio. Just picture it now, the Nittany Lion serving Penn State fans warm mashed potatoes on a November gameday. Beautiful, isn’t it?
Stephen Nedoroscik
This gymnast is sure to bring a perfectly cooked pumpkin pie to his Thanksgiving dinner. He’ll be using the same details in that crust that he does in his routines. What better dish for him to bring than a dessert loved by many? If he’s feeling risky, he might even bring an apple pie! He just seems like the type of guy who has a good pie game.
The Willard Preacher
Nothing is better than a preacher and some dinner rolls. The Willard Preacher would definitely arrive late, after debating a student before dinner. We picture him heading to the local food store, grabbing the first bag of bread rolls he sees. Nobody’s complained about some store-bought Hawaiian rolls yet, so why start now? His simple bread roll addition to the table will be perfect for some controversial table topics (Penn State Debates To Avoid At Thanksgiving Dinner).
Terry Pegula
Stay with us, we know this is going to be crazy. Terry Pegula is bringing no other than the mac and cheese this Thanksgiving. Pegula gives us the vibe that he would put breadcrumbs on top of his mac and cheese, and that, folks, is what makes a difference. Pegula is bringing out the crockpot this year, and we know his family appreciates the crispiness of his homemade mac and cheese.
Michael Siroty
Gravy. Siroty just seems like a gravy guy. Simple, yet effective. A perfect pick for the dinner table. He quite literally cannot go wrong. Onward State would crumble without Siroty’s perfection in gravy making. Here comes the gravy train, or should we say, Siroty train.
