Lady Lions’ Half-Court Buzzer Beater Lands At No. 8 On SportsCenter Top 10

Penn State Lady Lions’ guard Moriah Murray was featured on Monday’s SportsCenter’s Top 10 after making a buzzer-beater shot from half court during Sunday’s win over Yale. The shot was ranked No. 8, marking the first time this season that the Lady Lions were featured on SportsCenter’s Top 10.

Murray’s shot occurred during the final seconds of the second quarter, after Ciniya Moore’s missed shot was overturned to Penn State. As the clock began to run out, Murray heaved the ball from half count and proceeded to make it, celebrating with teammates after. This feat brought the score to 39-32, with the Lady Lions up at the half.

Penn State will play Nebraska in its next match-up on Saturday, December 6, at 1 p.m., marking its first Big Ten matchup.
