It’s the most wonderful time of the year, folks!

With the holiday season quickly approaching, you might be asking yourself, “What should I put on my Christmas wishlist?” For a Penn Stater, creating a Christmas list full of wants and wishes is easy. This year has been full of unexpected twists and turns, and I think there are some special things every Penn Stater is hoping for as a Christmas miracle. 

Whether it’s new gear or begging Santa to deliver a new head football coach, there are an endless number of things a Penn Stater could ask for. To not be too greedy, we compiled a Christmas list with a few items every true Penn Stater should want.   

If you’re a Penn State student, alumnus, or fan, these items may be on your Christmas wishlist this year. 

Penn State Football Jersey

A classic gift that just can’t go wrong. Everyone needs a Penn State football jersey in their life, and it would be an honor to rock any number. Whether you want to represent a former Penn State player, like Saquon Barkley with number 26, or a current player like Ethan Grunkemeyer with number 17, a jersey is a staple. 

Other Penn State Gear

Anything Penn State, you can think of, you need:

• Penn State blanket
• Penn State Hat 
• Penn State Signs 
• Penn State hoodies, t-shirts, sweatpants
• Penn State winter gear
• Penn State socks
• Penn State Sunglasses

Nothing says Merry Christmas like a stocking full of Penn State-themed knick-knacks and gear wrapped tightly under the tree. You can never have too much Penn State gear, and the options are endless for everyone, including your dog. An assortment of merchandise should be at the top of a Penn Stater’s Christmas List.  

A Football National Championship

While we didn’t get it this year, folks, there is always next year, and it’s never too early to start wishing. A national championship would be the ultimate Christmas gift, but we will still support the football team in their upcoming bowl game. 

This wish item doesn’t have to remain a Christmas wish, but a yearlong wish as we continue to cheer for and encourage the football team for years to come. WE ARE excited to see what the team has in store for next season.

To Hire a Head Football Coach 

I think this one speaks for itself. Every Penn State fan wants to receive this news as an EARLY Christmas gift. Hopefully, this wish comes true sooner rather than later. 

A Minimal Windy & Snowy Winter 

We’re already not off to a great start, folks. Some love the sno,w and others despise it, but if you’re a student on campus, you can understand this wish. Trying to walk to class in 15-20 mph wind is challenging, especially when it’s also snowing. 

Since we’re in Pennsylvania, this wish is very likely not to come true, but we can only hope. Everyone, stay safe and warm this winter as we trek to class in this Pennsylvania weather. 

Coffee Shop Gift Cards

Coffee is a must. State College is filled with incredible coffee shops and are which fuel the minds of students and professors at the university. Whether you’re a student, parent, or visiting the area, a gift card to Starbucks, Dunkin, Eden Valley, Saxby’s, The Creamery, or any other coffee shop will be very beneficial.

Everyone loves a good cup of coffee, and it tastes even better when you have a gift card. One gift card from every coffee shop in town is definitely on a Penn Stater’s Christmas list.  

The Ideal Class Schedule During Registration

This one is mainly for the Penn State students who know what it feels like to not get the classes they want at the times that they want. While registration for spring classes has passed, the stress of getting the perfect schedule will be back shortly when scheduling for the fall semester. Maybe just maybe, 8 a.m. classes won’t be an option, but again, this is only a wish, not a miracle.
