Nittany Lions In The NFL: Week 15 Roundup

With a break between the regular season and bowl season, Penn State fans had the perfect opportunity to tune into week 15 of the NFL season this week. However, if you were more focused on your fantasy football playoff roster than the former Penn State football players, here’s your chance to catch up.

In case you missed it, here’s how some former Penn Staters performed in week 15.

Saquon Barkley, Philadelphia Eagles

Saquon Barkley rushed 22 times for 78 yards in the Philadelphia Eagles’ 31-0 win against the Las Vegas Raiders. Barkley had a two-yard rushing touchdown in the second quarter.

This game marked only the second time this season that Barkley totaled over 20 carries and scored a rushing touchdown in consecutive games.

Abdul Carter, New York Giants

Linebacker Abdul Carter recorded the first two forced fumbles of his career in the New York Giants’ 29-21 loss to the Washington Commanders. Carter also recorded a sack and five solo tackles.

Chris Godwin Jr., Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Chris Godwin brought in four receptions for 20 yards and a touchdown in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ 29-28 loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday night. Godwin also caught a two-point conversion catch.

This touchdown was Godwin’s first of the season, largely due to the fact that he has only seen action in six games so far.

Odafe Oweh, Los Angeles Chargers

Pass rusher Odafe Oweh continues a strong season in Los Angeles. Odafe totaled four tackles, including two sacks, in the Chargers’ 16-13 win that eliminated the Kansas City Chiefs from the playoffs.

Micah Parsons, Green Bay Packers

Possibly the biggest news from a former Nittany Lion comes from star defensive end Micah Parsons. In the Green Bay Packers’ 34-26 loss to the Denver Broncos, Parsons tore his ACL and will miss the remainder of the season.

Before Parsons went down, he totaled two tackles and forced a fumble.

Other Notable Performances:

  • Defensive back Nick Scott had 10 tackles in the Carolina Panthers’ 20-14 loss to the New Orleans Saints.
  • Theo Johnson caught three receptions for 72 yards for the Giants against the Commanders.
  • Chicago Bears safety Jaquan Brisker totaled five tackles in the team’s 31-3 win against the Cleveland Browns.
  • Parker Washington hauled in three receptions for 53 yards in the Jacksonville Jaguars 48-20 win against the New York Jets.
  • Defensive tackle PJ Mustipher totaled four tackles in the Arizona Cardinals’ 40-20 loss to the Houston Texans.
