Former Penn State Defensive End Daniel Jennings Transfers To Virginia Tech

Former Penn State defensive end Daniel Jennings is transferring to Virginia Tech, he announced on social media on Sunday. He has four years of eligibility remaining.
Jennings was initially recruited as a member of the Class of 2026, but he reclassified last May and elected to enroll early. The four-star recruit was ranked the No. 36 edge rusher in the nation, as well as the No. 1 player from West Virginia in the Class of 2025, according to 247Sports.
He did not appear in any games in 2025, taking a redshirt. He left the program prior to the Pinstripe Bowl and entered the transfer portal, a decision that was likely influenced by the departure of both defensive coordinator Jim Knowles and defensive line coach Deion Barnes.
Quickly after the portal opened on January 2, he scheduled a visit with Virginia Tech and committed to rejoin former head coach James Franklin in Blacksburg.
