Report: Former Oklahoma State Defensive Lineman Armstrong Nnodim Transfers To Penn State Football

Former Oklahoma State defensive lineman Armstrong Nnodim is transferring to Penn State, per CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz and Chris Hummer. He has three years of eligibility remaining.

Nnodim is a former three-star recruit in the Class of 2024 out of Mesquite, Texas, ranked the No. 123 defensive lineman and No. 173 player from Texas, according to the 247Sports Composite. He initially committed to Rice in February 2023, but flipped to Oklahoma State four months later. In high school, he was named the Texas District 10-6A defensive MVP as a junior and was an all-state selection.

He did not appear in any games in 2024, taking a redshirt before getting a bigger role on the defensive line in 2025. While several of his teammates entered the transfer portal in September after the firing of longtime head coach Mike Gundy, Nnodim stayed and started four of the team’s last five games, tallying 11 tackles, two tackles for loss, and a sack in 12 games.

He entered the transfer portal in January and quickly locked in a visit to Happy Valley, committing to play under new defensive coordinator D’Anton Lynn and defensive line coach Ikaika Malloe.

Nnodim joins a defensive line that has had a lot of turnover due to the NFL Draft and transfer portal. He joins Iowa State transfer Alijah Carnell and UCLA transfer Keanu Williams, entering a room with promising young edge rushers Max Granville and Yvan Kemajou.
