Penn State Women’s Soccer Forward Amelia White Signs With KC Current

Penn State women’s soccer forward Amelia White has signed her rookie contract in the National Women’s Soccer League with the Kansas City Current, the team announced on Tuesday.

White signed a two-year contract with the Current after spending all four seasons with the Nittany Lions. During her time there, she played 88 matches, scoring 11 goals and adding 14 assists.

In her final season with the blue and white, she led the Nittany Lions to the Round of 32 in the NCAA Tournament, tallying 16 points. In the process, she scored six goals, three of them match-winning, while assisting four goals. This earned her a spot on the All-Big Ten Second Team and made her the 38th Penn Stater in history to join the NWSL.

The forward from Fort Wayne, Indiana, will join the Current, who are coming off their first NWSL Shield in franchise history. The NWSL season will begin on March 13.
