Report: Former Penn State Football Defensive End Mylachi Williams Transfers To Virginia Tech

Former Penn State football defensive end Mylachi Williams is transferring to Virginia Tech, per Pete Nakos of On3. He has three years of eligibility.
Williams was a four-star recruit out of Drexel Hill, PA, in the Class of 2024, being ranked as the No. 24 edge rusher and No. 4 player from Pennsylvania, according to the 247Sports Composite. He took a number of official visits in the region, ultimately choosing Penn State over Pittsburgh, Syracuse, and Notre Dame in July 2023.
He didn’t play a game in 2024, preserving his redshirt. In 2025, he suited up in five games, playing a total of 35 snaps and getting one tackle and one quarterback hit before entering the transfer portal on January 6.
He’s the third defensive end to transfer from Penn State to Virginia Tech, joining Daniel Jennings and Cortez Harris, as well as the seventh player total.
