Former Iowa State Defensive Lineman Ikenna Ezeogu Transfers To Penn State Football

Matt Campbell has secured another commitment from his former team. Former Iowa State defensive lineman Ikenna Ezeogu has committed to transfer to Penn State football, per his Instagram.

Ezeogu started for the Cyclones at left edge and will head to Happy Valley for his fifth and final year of eligibility. He appeared in every game for the Cyclones from 2023 to 2025, making 12 starts in his senior season.

In 2025, he recorded a career-high 25 tackles, three tackles-for-loss, one sack, and one fumble recovery. He also led Iowa State with seven quarterback hurries.

Ezeogu was a three-star recruit out of Blue Springs High School, receiving offers from schools like Kansas, Illinois, and Kansas State. He was the No. 15 player in Missouri and No. 48 edge rusher in the class of 2022, per 247Sports’ Composite rankings.

Ezeogu will look to bolster a completely transformed defensive line during his first year in Happy Valley. He is the 19th former Cyclone to follow Campbell to Penn State.
