Former Penn State Football Wide Receiver Tyseer Denmark Transfers To Virginia Tech

Former Penn State wide receiver Tyseer Denmark is transferring to Virginia Tech, he announced on X on Thursday. He has three years of eligibility remaining.

Denmark was a three-star recruit in the Class of 2024 out of Philadelphia, ranked as the No. 76 wide receiver and No. 12 player from Pennsylvania, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. He initially committed to Oregon in November 2022 before flipping to Penn State in June 2023.

He played in just four games as a true freshman, preserving his redshirt despite scoring his first career touchdown against Maryland. After Penn State acquired three transfer receivers for 2025, Denmark had a limited role again in 2025. Across two seasons, he made four catches for 45 yards and one touchdown.

Denmark initially appeared to be returning to Penn State for the 2026 season, but, similar to Dejuan Lane, he deleted his social media post that implied a return and entered the transfer portal on January 7.

He is the 12th Nittany Lion to announce his intentions to transfer to Virginia Tech and join former head coach James Franklin in Blacksburg. Other notable players include quarterback Ethan Grunkemeyer, tight end Luke Reynolds, linebacker Keon Wylie, and cornerback Kenny Woseley Jr.
