Penn State Men’s Volleyball Rises To No. 10 In Latest AVCA Poll

Penn State men’s volleyball moved up to No. 10 in the latest AVCA Poll released on Monday afternoon. After they started the season No. 13 in the preseason poll, the Nittany Lions rose three spots with 248 votes due to their sweep over St. Thomas Aquinas and their upset win over No. 9 Lewis at Rec Hall.

The blue and white started the season 4-0 for the first time since 2024 in head coach Mark Pavlik’s final season as the Penn State head coach, unlike last season, when they started 0-7. Along with Penn State, Princeton was the only team in the EIVA Conference to be ranked, coming in No. 18 in the rankings.

The Nittany Lions will hit the road for the first time this season when they take on No. 15 McKendree this weekend in a two-match series in Lebanon, Illinois. The first match will be on Friday, January 23, at 6 p.m., and the second will be on Saturday, January 24, at 4 p.m. Both matches will be streamed on the GLVC Sports Network.
