[Photo Story] Penn State’s Snowstorm 2026

Penn State is always ready for a White Out, but we weren’t fully expecting this one! Over the weekend, the snow piled up so high that students got Monday off from classes. Whether you made it out for a snowball fight or just walked through it, our photographers were out there capturing all the snowy magic.

Some students took advantage of the snow, staying busy with sledding, games of Spikeball, and even snowboarding down HUB Lawn.

Other students went about their day, carefully moving across campus as the snow continued to fall.

The real magic happened at night. The snowfall was beautiful around Beaver Stadium and Pegula Ice Arena.

Even with construction, Penn State looked like the perfect snow globe.

People stayed out all night, enjoying the snow-covered streets with friends.

Whether you watched the snow from indoors or stepped outside to experience it, the night turned out to be beautiful.
