Penn State Men’s Hockey Goalie Josh Fleming Named Co-HCA National Rookie Of The Month

Penn State men’s hockey freshman Josh Fleming was named the Co-HCA National Rookie of the Month, the team announced Thursday. Fleming is the third Penn State hockey player to be honored nationally this season.
In January, Fleming helped the Nittany Lions to a 7-3-0 record, recording three wins across five starts while recording his second shutout of the season. He led the Big Ten with a .952 save percentage and posted a 1.62 goals-against average.
The Montreal, Quebec native continues to pace the nation with a .938 save percentage on the season. His 2.02 goals-against average ranks third in the Big Ten and is tied for eighth nationally.
In addition to his HCA honor, Fleming was recently named to the Mike Richter Award Watch List and selected as a Hobey Baker Award nominee.
No. 6 Penn State will enjoy its bye this weekend before traveling to face No. 1 Michigan on February 13-14. The first game is set for 6:30 p.m. on Friday, February 13.
