Your Major, Your Line Dance Lyric

During THON Weekend, everyone makes the line dance their personality. Every time the Dancer Relations captains make their way to the stage, everyone in the crowd and on the floor becomes a professional dancer and singer.
If you were wondering what specific line in the 2026 line dance describes you, here’s what your lyric is based on your major.
Music – “Madam Major, royalty”
Ellie Sheehan became the first female Drum Major in Penn State’s history for the 2025-2026 football season. Music majors, you understand how important this feat is.
Finance – “No more pennies, still got dimes”
With the production of the penny becoming extinct, most prices are going to be raised to the dollar. This, in turn, will probably make the job easier for many finance students.
Structural Design – “Pollock Reno, breaking ground”
Someone’s got to make the plans for the new Pollock dorms. Certainly, structural design majors can understand.
Nursing – “Penn State Hershey, taking steps”
Nursing majors might have to step away from University Park for a year to study at the Hershey hospital, but at least they get a shoutout in the line dance!
Any Liberal Arts Major – “Susan Welch, what was that?”
The College of Liberal Arts lost its brand new building for at least this semester after an incident in November. Even now, a ton of people are still asking, “What was that?”
International Politics – “UK voters, now they’re younger”
This month, the United Kingdom lowered the voting age to 16 for its upcoming general elections. International politics majors, this is a major milestone in your studies.
Communications – “Reaching flow state scrolling Reels”
COMM majors: your doom scrolling is acceptable. You’re just studying the newest social media trends to use.
Astronomy & Astrophysics – “NASA boots – touch back down”
In March of 2025, two astronauts returned to Earth after being stranded in space for nine months. If you want to study space, you’re going to have to learn about issues like this.
Animal Science – “Goodall & her chimpanzees”
Last year, legendary primatologist Jane Goodall passed away. Her work and impact are undoubtedly studied by animal science students.
Musical Theater – “Mirrorballs to the zoo”
While most people these days watch “Dancing With the Stars,” the dancers really understand what Robert Irwin’s win meant.
Education – “KPop Hunters top the charts”
If you’re student teaching, you’ve probably heard about the KPop Demon Hunters more than you’d like to admit. The kids really like that movie.
