7 A.M. At THON Is Not A Good Time To Do A Mukbang

We had a great idea to do a group mukbang here on press row. Our staff loved the thought, so an hour before my shift ended, we decided to search for food.

There was nothing. I found a hoagie stand and a Belgian dark chocolate waffle.

We were devastated that there was no food available, but we had to review what we could get.

Italian Hoagie

So mid.

I didn’t necessarily expect a 7 a.m. hoagie to be good. But I still wanted some wow factor if it’s one of the only food options available.

I got salami, lettuce, tomato, some oils and seasoning. The bread was dry and the sandwhich didn’t close, so it was hard to eat.

It was also served on a plate, unwrapped. I would’ve loved to not have to carry an unwrapped open sandwich at THON.

I did not finish my hoagie. If I ate it during lunch I think it would’ve been better, but I was dissapointed.

Pretzel

Not a great pretzel. Probably something I shouldn’t eat in the morning like the hoagie, but still wasn’t great.

The cheese did not have a good flavor. It didn’t even taste like cheese, honestly.

The pretzel was also hard. Just not a great eating experience so far.

Belgian Dark Chocolate Chip Waffle

This was the best item I got, but still not that great.

It was very dry, but the taste was good. I don’t recommend getting this item, it’s just not worth the money.

Overall, I’d give my muckbang attempt experience a 2/10. I wish I had planned this better.

People were excited to get good food and share with one another. That didn’t happen at all.

Maybe next year there will be a successful one, but my message is don’t try to mukbang early in the morning.
