Underrated Items To Bring To THON

There are typical items people bring to THON. A water bottle, tennis ball, charger, and more to get through the 46-hour dance marathon. But what could be some other unique items you might not think to bring to THON?

Deck of Cards

The games you can play with cards could be limitless. Gin rummy, spades, go fish and so many more could be a great form of entertainment when looking for something new to do.

Feet Comfort Pads

Standing for 46 hours can definitely make feet muscles sore. Some padding could give a nice break when standing for so long.

Journal

Journaling could be a new hobby picked up at THON. Write about your experience, learn to draw, play some pictionary, or whatever might be fun.

Journaling could be a great way to capture your THON experience outside of a phone. It’s a way to reflect on the amazing moments THON brings.

Fanny Pack

Do you want to take laps, need to carry something, but don’t want to carry a bag? Bring a fanny pack to walk hands-free and have easy access to all your items.

Fanny packs are reliable to bring around and get your dad look on.

Collapsible Water Bottle

If needed to create more space, a collapsible water bottle is convenient. It can attach to a keychain or belt loop and not create chaos when dropped.

iPod

iPods don’t require WiFi for music. The BJC gets crowded at many points, making WiFi less stable.

If you need to keep a high level of energy from your personal taste, maybe invest in an iPod.

Food Container

If you buy food items and don’t finish your food, a small food container might help. A paper basket isn’t the most reliable item to savor food in, so a nice container is beneficial.

Puzzle and Coloring Books

An extra activity you could play would be an easy crossword puzzle. Figure out puzzles with people next to you and test general knowledge of various categories.

A coloring book is another form of entertainment where you can get creative with some art. Get some pictures done to pass the time!

Before walking into the BJC, just remember some more valuable items you might not consider bringing that could help!
