While You Were Asleep: What Happened Overnight On Sunday At THON 2026

It is officially Sunday of THON Weekend, folks!
If you decided to catch a few hours of sleep before going into the last day of THON Weekend, we don’t blame you. However, there is a lot to catch you up on. From musical performances that rocked the stage, to game shows and many line dances, the BJC continued dancing late into the night.
But no need to worry, we have conveniently compiled a list of everything you might have missed while you were sleeping.
Stage Performances
The night kicked off with a performance by Penn State’s own acapella group, Pennharmonics, at 12:06 a.m. This was followed by a routine performed by the Penn State Tapestry Dance Company, and an electric dj set by Otterson, which included a dance-worthy “Zombie Nation” remix.
At 1:58 a.m., the band Sarasota took the stage and rocked the entire BJC. Performing songs such as “Dancing Queen” by ABBA and “Don’t Stop Believing” by Queen, the band provided the BJC crowd with a much needed energy boost to keep pushing through the night.

Following Sarasorta, two dance groups took to the stage. Caliente performed a Latino-inspired routine at 4:03 a.m., with the urban dance group, RĂªve, following with their hip-hop routine at 4:09 a.m.
Then, Adam and the Armadillos opened THON’s “Wild West Hour” theme hour, which was announced at 4:41 a.m. They led the BJC in singing classic country tunes, such as “Revival” by Zach Bryan and “Should’ve Been A Cowboy” by Toby Keith.
Floor Cleanings
Of course, the night included a floor cleaning. At 1:11 a.m., the zambonis took to the floor, as well as OPP committee members armed with mops and brooms, to make the BJC floor shine. Thankfully, the cleaning took place during Otterson’s performance, so the dancers were fully engaged and, more importantly, distracted, while the floor was being mopped.

Stage Games
One of the most memorable stage games of the night, “Guess the Brain Rot,” kicked off at 12:30 a.m. The game had dancers guess famous brain rot memes from photos projected on the screen. Where else would a entire crowd shout out “Tung Tung Tung Sahur” and “John Pork”? The next stage game was “What’s in the Bag” at 1:50 a.m., where dancers had to guess items such as marshmallows, pasta and slime simply by touching the items in a bag.
“Guessing THON Merch Prices,” was up next, which was a surprisingly entertaining game. The premise is pretty self-explanatory. THON merchandise was displayed on the screen, and players had to guess what they thought the price was.
Following this was THON trivia at 3:58 a.m. with Penn State Harrisburg students. Some of the questions included “What are the Four Diamonds?” and “How many committees are there in THON?”
“Guess the Pepsi Product” with THON Hospitality captains happened on stage at 4:19 a.m. Due to Penn State being a Pepsi school, two Hospitality captains were blindfolded and had to taste and guess which Pepsi product they were drinking.

Line Dances, Stretches & Water Socials
Of course, the night was full of line dances, water socials, and stretching activities to keep the BJC energized and healthy. I counted four line dances over the course of the night. Despite the late hours, each dance was met with excitement and enthusiasm by the BJC crowd. THON weekend is slowly coming to a close, so be sure to read our line dance lyric article to have the lyrics memorized by Final Four.
Just because it is late at night does not mean you are excused from drinking water. Thankfully, we had two Water Socials to make sure everyone was staying hydrated at all hours of the night.
In addition to keeping the BJC hydrated, two stretches took place on stage during the course of the night. We had one guided leg stretch at 3:20 a.m., and also danced along to the Boogie Woogie Stretch at 3:48 a.m.
As the sun rises on Sunday, the BJC is ready to finish THON Weekend 2026 strong, FTK!
