Penn State Football Alum Tyler Lucas Wins Beast Games Season 2

Former Penn State wide receiver Tyler Lucas took home $5 million on Wednesday night, following his win on the popular show “Beast Games.” The U.S. Air Force Pilot began the popular game hosted by Mr. Beast on January 7, playing with 199 other people. Lucas outlasted players and rose to the top, eventually taking the highest cash prize in Beast Games history.

Lucas played football at Penn State University before transferring to the University of Montana.

This past week, Lucas (player No. 167) faced Cory Sims (player No. 191). The two alternated hiding a $5 million check in one of 10 suitcases provided while the other contestant was blindfolded. After removing the blindfold, the player had to guess which suitcase had the check. This lasted for several rounds before Lucas selected the right case, making him the winner of Season 2.

Following his big win, Lucas mentioned his final goal was for him to make it to the end, and that he was a competitor. After Beast Games, he said, “I definitely want to make sure that I do what I can to set my kids up for life.”
