Lady Lions End-Of-Season Transfer Portal Roundup

Despite a frustrating season for the Lady Lions, former players found success in their new programs after transferring out of Happy Valley.
With Penn State women’s basketball’s season coming to an early close, here are how some former players performed this 2025-26 season.
Grace Hall, SMU
Former forward Grace Hall transferred out of Penn State after the 2024-25 season. With her new Mustang squad, Hall started in 20 games and played in all 27 matchups. She scored a season-high 15 points, just a point shy of her career high, in the season opener against Grambling. She also had a career-high 42 blocks on the season, as well as 105 rebounds.
SMU finished the season 9-21 under first-year head coach Adia Barnes. The team finished 16th in the Atlantic Coast and missed postseason play.
Ariana Williams, IU Indy
Ariana Williams joined the Jaguars for her sophomore season. Williams started five games and appeared in all 29. She averaged 5.6 points and 3.5 rebounds per game, including career highs of 14 points and 11 rebounds. She also had 28 steals on the season
IU Indy finished up its most recent action at the Horizon League Tournament, where it beat Northern Kentucky but fell to Purdue Fort Wayne.
Talayah Walker, Georgia Tech
It is safe to say Talayah Walker has been thriving as a Yellow Jacket. Averaging 17.1 points per game, she became the first in program history to have three 30-point games in a single season. She scored a career-high 33 points against Notre Dame, as well as having six-straight 20-point games through December and January.
Georgia Tech went 14-18 in the regular season and finished No. 11 in the Atlantic Coast. Walker and the Yellow Jackets will play in the first round of the Women’s Basketball Invitation Tournament on March 19.
Jill Jekot, Saint Joseph’s
The sophomore guard started in 26 of 27 games this season, scoring a career-high 20 points against West Chester. She averaged 7.1 points per game and had 34 steals on the season.
St. Joe’s finished the season 20-11 and lost to No. 4 Davidson in the Atlantic 10 Championship Quarterfinals.
Shay Ciezki, Indiana
Shay Ciezki moved on from Penn State after her sophomore season and had an electric senior season as a Hoosier. She started all 31 games and averaged 22.8 points. She had a career night against Iowa State, dropping 38 points. She also knocked down a career-high seven made threes against Washington.
The Hoosiers finished 18-12 in the regular season and did not make the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2020.
Kylie Lavelle, Saint John’s
The senior forward started 20 of 33 games and averaged 4.8 points and 3.0 rebounds for Saint John’s. She scored a career-high 17 points against Hofstra and had four blocks against Marquette.
The Red Storm finished 22-11 and will face Columbia in the first round of the WBIT on March 19.
