Penn State Men’s Volleyball Sweeps Weekly EIVA Awards

Penn State men’s volleyball players Sean Harvey and Owen Rose swept the EIVA weekly awards, the association announced Monday.
Harvey, a redshirt sophomore outside hitter, was named EIVA Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season. In three ranked wins, Harvey posted a total of 39 kills on .411 hitting. Harvey started his campaign with a 20-kill game against No. 15 Ohio State, which is the second-highest of his career. Harvey currently leads the EIVA in hitting with a .311 average.
Rose, a redshirt senior middle blocker, won his second EIVA Defensive Player of the Week award of the year and sixth of his career. Over three games, Rose posted 15 kills on .619 hitting with 16 blocks and went 4-4 on service receptions. Rose currently leads the nation in blocking at 1.328 per set.
Harvey, Rose, and the rest of the Nittany Lions will head to Charleston, West Virginia, to face the University of Charleston in a two-game series. The first match is set for Friday, April 3, at 7 p.m., and will be streamed on the Mountain East Network.
