Penn State Men’s Hockey’s Aiden Fink Signs Amateur Tryout Agreement With Nashville Predators

The Nashville Predators are signing Penn State men’s hockey junior forward Aiden Fink to an amateur tryout agreement (ATO), multiple sources announced Tuesday, and the team later confirmed.
Fink will join the Predators organization and is expected to head to the AHL’s Milwaukee Admirals for the remainder of the season.
The deal allows the Penn State alternate captain to finish the year at the professional level without burning a year off his entry-level contract, which can instead begin next season. This gives Fink the option to return to Happy Valley.
Fink wrapped up his junior season with the Nittany Lions, recording 38 points (10 goals, 28 assists) in 30 games despite missing time due to injury.
Across three seasons at Penn State, Fink racked up 125 points (48 goals, 77 assists) in 104 career games, ranking fourth all-time in program history. He also became the fastest Nittany Lion to reach the 100-point milestone, doing so in just 87 games.
Fink’s sophomore season marked his breakout, as he set Penn State’s single-season points record with 53 while tying the programs single-seasong goals record with 23. He was also named a Hobey Baker top-10 finalist, becoming the first player in program history to earn the nomination.
Fink becomes the third Nittany Lion to put pen to paper with an NHL team this week, coming after Kevin Reidler and Matt DiMarsico both signed entry-level contracts on Monday.
