Power Ranking Penn State Softball’s 2026 Walk-Up Songs

In softball and baseball walk-ups are everything. What better way to get the player and the crowd ready than music?
With the softball season now in full swing, we decided to take a look at the Nittany Lions’ choice of music this season. Here are all of the 2026 walk-up songs, ranked from worst to best.
19. Kaylie Walters: ‘Really Really’ By Kevin Gates
I didn’t know this song before this ranking, and I probably won’t listen to it again. There are just so many great songs on this list that we had to start somewhere.
18. Jordan George: ‘My Jesus’ By Anne Wilson
Same criteria as the song above, I just feel like it’s too slow and doesn’t have the edge that a walk-up song should have.
17. Natalie Lieto: ’12 to 12′ By Sombr
There are so many other songs out there that are popular and, quite frankly, better than this one. It just feels too overdone for a walk-up.
16. Gabby Gradishar: ‘Ghetto Cowboy’ By Mo Thugs Family
I had never heard this song before, and honestly, I didn’t love it after the first listen.
15. McKenna Young: ‘God’s Country’ By Blake Shelton
I’m not the biggest country fan, which is probably why this song is ranking so low. Like some other songs on the list, it’s just not hype enough for a walk-up song.
14. Macy Chamberlin: ‘Cups’ By Anna Kendrick
“Cups” might’ve gotten Becca from “Pitch Perfect” a spot on the Barden Bellas, but I’m not seeing how it would hype me up before an at-bat.
13. Mackenzie Duncan: ‘Knee Deep’ By Zac Brown Band feat. Jimmy Buffet
This is a great song, but it isn’t giving the vibes that a walk-up song should. This would get me ready for vacation, not an at-bat.
12. Michela Barbanente: ‘Hey Mickey’ By Toni Basil
This is a good throwback pick, but there are just better ones on this list.
11. Kristin Finarelli: ‘Stay Fly’ By Three 6 Mafia
I really enjoyed this song, and it reminded me of an MLB game. Definitely would get me hype before an at-bat.
10. Madison Seidel: ‘Ain’t No Rest for the Wicked’ By Cage the Elephant
I really like this pick because it’s not exactly what you would think of when you think of a walk-up song. It’s different, and that’s why it’s great.
9. Brevyn Kellepouris: ‘She’s Country’ By Jason Aldean
As I said before, I’m not the biggest country fan. However, I appreciate Kellepouris’s call back to her country roots as a Kansas native. She is country, and I can put the fact that I dislike country aside for that.
8. Bridget Nemeth: ‘Back on my BS’ By Big X Tha Plug
I think this one is a great pick, and can definitely get the crowd going. It just loses points because of how many words have to be cut out. Definitely loses the flow of the song.
7. Abi Britton: ‘Sexyback’ By Justin Timberlake
This is a song that everyone is sure to know, getting the crowd hype for another at-bat.
6. Allison Oneacre: ‘AOK’ By Tai Verdes
While the Georgia native probably didn’t pick this as an homage to Bryson Stott’s walkup, I’m sure the Phillies fanbase will still appreciate this one.
5. Kalli Karwowski: ‘Just Wanna Rock’ By Lil Uzi Vert
Anyone who was on TikTok in 2023 will get hype when they hear this song, no matter how overplayed it is.
4. Cara Bohner: ‘Thunderstruck’ By AC/DC
This song will always hit as a walk-up song, and this year is no different.
3. Brooke Klosowicz: ‘Chelsea Dagger’ By The Fratellis
You can never go wrong with a classic.
2. Jordyn Jochims: ‘Boogie Wonderland’ By Earth, Wind, and Fire
It’s hard not to groove when you hear this song. In my mind, this is one of the best songs you can pick. Could easily be No. 1 on a different list.
1. Breanna Hanik: ‘Unwritten’ By Natasha Beddingfield
This has to be the best pick on the list. Everyone knows this song, so it’s guaranteed to get both students and parents singing along. Just an all-around great, feel-good pick.
