Penn State Men’s Lacrosse Rises To No. 15 In Latest Inside Lacrosse Poll

Penn State men’s lacrosse moved up one place to No. 15 in the latest Inside Lacrosse Poll released Monday.

The Nittany Lions traveled to New Jersey to play then-ranked No. 19 Rutgers in their final regular-season game. In the first half, Penn State went on a six-goal scoring streak in the second quarter to go up 9-3 at the break. The momentum carried it to a 16-8 win over the Scarlet Knights

Hunter Aquino scored four goals in the game, which is the most he’s had since returning from his injury. Last week, Jeff Tambroni said Aquino did a really good job of physically getting back into shape. He added that it will take some time to get Aquino back into the feel of a game, but it appeared that he was well-prepared against Rutgers, leading the offense in goals.

Penn State has a bye week to prepare for its next opponent in the Big Ten Tournament. The team’s next game will be played on April 30, in Piscataway, New Jersey. The time and opponent are TBA.
