Three Penn State Women’s Lacrosse Players Earn All-American Honorable Mentions

Three Penn State women’s lacrosse players were named to the USA Lacrosse All-American honorable mention list, the organization announced Thursday. Maggie Driver, Delaney Radin, and Roquette Allen all earned a mention.
Driver had 27 caused turnovers, 27 draw controls, and 24 ground balls this season. The senior from Yardley, Pennsylvania, has been a leader on defense for the Nittany Lions this year. The team’s defense has allowed fewer than 10 goals in 10 of the games this season, 17 of which Driver started. She was also pinned to the All-Big Ten First Team.
Radin has the fifth-most goals on the team this year with 26. However, she has 56 assists and leads the team in points with 82 despite only starting one game. She has played a key role coming off the bench. Kelly MacKinney is second in assists with 31, which is 25 behind Radin.
She was named to the All-Big Ten First Team, became the first Penn State player since 2017 with 80+ points in a season, and now earned an honorable mention on the All-American Team.
Allen leads the team in goals alongside MacKinney with 45 on the year. She also had 22 assists, 67 total points on the season, and led the team in shots on goal with 68. She had a .511 shot percentage and a .773 shot on goal percentage.
The freshman immediately became an impact player for the Nittany Lions. She broke Penn State’s record of being named Big Ten Freshman of the Week six times. She was also named to the All-Big Ten Freshman Team and was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Year.
Penn State plays next against Stanford at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 8, on the campus of No. 7 Michigan in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
