Pennsylvania Congressmen Ask NCAA to Release More Documents

Sixteen of the 18 U.S. representatives from Pennsylvania sent a letter to the NCAA today, calling on the organization to release all documents that led to the formulation of the Penn State sanctions and consent decree. All U.S. representatives from Pennsylvania except for Tim Murphy (R-18) and the outgoing-Allyson Schwartz (D-13) signed the letter.

Residence Halls to Open Early for Michigan State Game

Penn State students living on campus who want to go to Saturday's football game or are just jonesin' to get back to State College a couple of days early are in luck. Penn State announced today that all residence halls will open two days early in order to accommodate the Penn State-Michigan State game on Saturday.

Game Day Observations: Temple

It was a chilly Big Ten noon game in the middle of the season, which is about as inauspicious as a gameday experience can be. Nonetheless, save for one half of miserable football, it was actually...fun. Watching Penn State play (more specifically, its offense) was fun for the first time in awhile, with postseason play and state pride on the line.

President Barron Pledges to Review Freeh Report

President Barron was supposed to address the media after Friday's Board of Trustees meeting about a "very important" subject, according to the public relations people. Because the meeting went long -- the longest in the last several years, in fact -- Barron was unable to make the promised press row visit. It is now clear what exactly Barron intended to discuss.
