Bill O'Brien has landed in Texas. The now former Penn State head football coach flew into George Bush International Airport today, and will officially become the head coach of the Houston Texans tomorrow afternoon, where the team will introduce him with an introductory news conference.
Like many of us, Marlin Groce didn't take Bill O'Brien's decision to leave for the Houston Texans very well. So Marlin enlisted the help of one of his friends, named "The Funkster," to cut a C.M. Punk-esque WWE promo and challenge Bill O'Brien to a no-holds barred steel cage match before he leaves Happy Valley for good.
Rumors have been circulating for days about various coaches that are interested in replacing O'Brien, and now Athletic Director David Joyner and co. will be tasked with finding a replacement. We compiled a list of some potential candidates, but remember, as we learned with O'Brien, there's no guarantee that Penn State will hire anyone who is mentioned early in the process.
It’s usually clichéd to say that a basketball game is a tale of two halves, mostly because discussing a game in such simple terms is often inaccurate. However, Penn State’s 79-63 loss to fifth ranked Michigan State was exactly that.
