The Lunar Lion team completed its first series of rocket thruster tests recently, putting the university-run Google Lunar X Prize team on track to completing the first privately funded mission to the moon.

11 Students, Five Faculty Awarded Fulbrights for 2013-2014

11 Penn State students and five faculty members were awarded Fulbrights for 2013-2014. This is a pretty big deal, considering that 45 former Fulbrighters have won the Nobel Prize, 28 have been awarded MacArthur Fellowships, 80 have won Pulitzers, and 29 have served as heads of state or government.

Starting tomorrow, car sharing service Zipcar will be available in State College.
