Campus Night Out Happening Tonight

The Student Life & Diversity Committee, part of the University Park Undergraduate Association, will be hosting Campus Night Out tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. in front of Old Main.

Rain Shortage Spurs PDEP Drought Warning

Though Monday's weather may make you a little skeptical, the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has issued a drought warning for 24 counties across the Commonwealth, and for the remaining 43, a less severe drought watch.

Collegian Redesign: “New Era” Not Without Problems

As you are now probably aware, The Daily Collegian website has adopted a new look. The site started sporting the new design Monday, and is a marked departure from the plain old blue-and-white interface.

A Lament For the HUB Lawn

Though over a dozen faculty parking spaces will be lost due to the construction of the new Biobehavioral Health Building, as will the architectural jewel that is the bridge between Henderson and Henderson South, today I choose to reflect on the closure of the HUB lawn for the next four years.

The construction rigs are already audible; the HUB lawn is slowly being put to death, and will first disappear in parts. Over a little stretch of time it will cease to exist.

New IFC Social Event Policy in Place

his weekend, you may have noticed that the Interfraternity Council (IFC) has implemented a new social event policy. The new policy is not, as a whole, stricter or more relaxed than the one adopted last year. However, it has been refined from the previous version.
