In news that came to no one's surprise, freshman guard Taran Buie, better known as Talor Battle's younger half-brother, was released from his scholarship according a press release that was published on Monday. Buie, who came into Penn State as a four-star recruit, committed the night that he watched his older brother, Battle, help lead the Nittany Lions to the NIT Tournament title at Madison Square Garden back in March 2009. He was thought to help with the resurrection of the basketball program that began with that tournament title.
In maybe the most gruesome game of football Beaver Stadium has seen since "6-4", the Blue team defeated the White Team in a rain-shortened Blue-White Game by a score of 10-0. The ugliness started right from the opening snap as Rob Bolden threw an interception to Mike Wallace on a severely underthrown ball. Although all reports coming out of camp this spring spoke of Bolden being more comfortable with the offense than ever before, he put up a goose egg in the completion column, missing on all six of his attempts.
