
Penn State's victory in Dublin was much more than just another win. It was the dawning of a new era, and a statement to the nation that the Nittany Lions are still relevant.

The James Franklin Era is off with a bang. Thanks to the right foot of kicker Sam Ficken, the Nittany Lions leave Dublin with a victory over UCF and start off the season 1-0.

The first half of Penn State football has come to an end, and there is a lot to be excited about. Christian Hackenberg looked every bit of the 2013 Big Ten Freshman of the Year we remember from last year. Despite feeling constant pressure from the UCF front seven, he was able to make some great throws. In the first quarter, he went 8-10, with 103 yards and an interception.

Penn State Men's soccer is upon us, and there is a lot to be excited about. The team is coming off an excellent 2013 campaign which saw the Nittany Lions finish as Big Ten Champions, post a record of 13-6-2 (including a 5-1-0 conference record), reach the semifinals of the Big Ten Tournament, and make the Sweet Sixteen in the NCAA Tournament.

At long last, an official depth chart for the 2014 Penn State football team has been released. There are a few surprising selections, along with some no-brainers. Overall, interchangeability will be important and is emphasized on Coach Franklin's depth chart.

Matt McGloin is listed as the third-string option for the Oakland Raiders at quarterback, but his numbers say otherwise. McGloin has outperformed rookie Derek Carr thus far, and could potentially slide into the backup role behind starter Matt Schaub if his impressive play continues.
