College research papers are nothing like the research papers you may have written in high school. While you could scoot away with eight pages of fluff with your high school teachers, most professors require students to write at least ten, concise pages. You may find that your textbook or the readings on ANGEL don't provide enough information to let you reach the minimum. Fortunately, there are two scholarly search engines that will be useful to you during your time at Penn State.

Former State Department official P.J. Crowley (@pjcrowley) will speak at Penn State's HUB on Tuesday, November 8 at 7:30 p.m. for the College of Communications's annual Bronstein Lecture. Crowley now serves as the General Omar N. Bradley Chair in Strategic Leadership. This position allows him to teach courses at the School of International Affairs, the Dickinson School of Law, the U.S. Army War College and Dickinson College.
In 2009, President Barack Obama appointed Crowley to serve as his Assistant Secretary of State of Public Affairs. Earlier this year, Crowley drew criticism from the military after he deplored its treatment of PFC Bradley Manning, who allegedly sent classified documents to Wikileaks. These comments forced Crowley to resign from his position.
