
The State College Redevelopment Authority on Wednesday approved an agreement of sale to purchase 406 S. Pugh St., the former Alpha Chi Sigma house, for $1.65 million.

Chicago-based Core Spaces and its construction manager Massaro Corporation sought to close Hetzel Street between East College Avenue and East Calder Way from December 22 until November 28, 2023, for the construction of the 12-story mixed-use building.

Starting July 15, the road will be closed to vehicle traffic between Fraser and Pugh streets from 6 to 11 p.m. every Thursday through Saturday.
