Saying that they are seeking answers for how and why their son was killed, the parents of a State College man who was fatally shot by borough police last week are now being represented by two local attorneys.

The 29-year-old man who was shot and killed by State College police on Wednesday died of multiple gunshot wounds, according to Centre County Coroner Scott Sayers.

"As a community member I am going through these moment-by-moment feelings beside you. As a community leader I’m working to get answers. I spoke [with] staff yesterday. I’ve asked for a leadership briefing. I’ll continue to advocate for transparency and information sharing."

The vigil will be held at 7 p.m. at the Allen Street Gates. It is being organized by the Penn State Student Black Caucus and six other community organizations, according to a Facebook event.
