Penn State Application Numbers Surge, Up 10,000 From 2013

President Rodney Erickson said the university is on pace to receive 120,000 applications for enrollment at Penn State. At this point, approximately 119,000 applications have been received but Erickson expects more to come before the window closes.

A Final Note of Thanks: Jessica Tully’s Senior Column

I wish I could say I had some grand advice I learned over the past four years, but I can’t because I still don't have most of the answers. As I sit here thinking about the mistakes I’ve made, I realize I wouldn’t want to change any of them. Each speed bump brought me to where I am today, and for that, I am forever grateful. So rather than leave you with a piece of advice I learned, I’d like to thank the people who defined my college experience. Although I can’t name everyone, I’d like to thank some of the people who helped me along the way. Without all of you, I don’t know where I’d be today.

Penn State Police Receive Bomb Threat

A single caller repeatedly contacted Penn State Police to leave non-specific bomb threats. The caller said there were explosive devices in every building on campus. The caller said there was a suicide bomber at 9th avenue and 7th street, but there is no such intersection on or near the University Park campus.
