Hofstra Wrestler Russell Benner Makes Penn State Rape Jokes on Twitter

The second visiting athlete in as many weeks has turned to Twitter to take out their frustrations about competing at Penn State. By now, you've probably heard about the story of Stephanie McCaffrey, the Boston College Women's Soccer player who made Sandusky scandal jokes on Twitter that ultimately led to her suspension from the team and the deletion of her Twitter account. Earlier today, Hofstra University wrestler Russell James expressed similar sentiments, sending out these Tweets before his match at the Nittany Lion Open wrestling tournament.

George Mitchell Issues First Athletics Integrity Report to NCAA

As part of the NCAA consent decree, Penn State's athletic integrity monitor George Mitchell has issued his first quarterly report on Penn State's compliance.

"We have received the University’s full cooperation during this initial period of the monitorship," the report says. "Our requests for access to University personnel have been granted without exception."
