A roller coaster season is in the books for Penn State, and with an impressive 8-4 record, the Nittany Lions have garnered a substantial amount of national attention. In this week's AP poll, Penn State received 61 points, good for 29th in the country.

Twitter was abuzz following Penn State's victory tonight with comments about Bill O'Brien's postgame interview in which he appeared to say "They're a bunch of f***ers," on live TV with ESPN. Of course, O'Brien meant it as a compliment, and he was noticeably emotional after the biggest win of this remarkable season. But it's also possible that O'Brien said "They're a bunch of fighters," as much as it sounded like the former.

Ever since Penn State cheerleader Paige Raque was injured in a 5-story fall from a Calder Commons apartment just over a month ago, the Penn State community has rallied behind her, offering words of encouragement and selling bracelets for the Paige Raque Recovery Fund. At first, the situation looked grim, but now Paige is making a steady recovery and has begun rehab at her home in Kentucky.

Senior cornerback Stephon Morris is usually one of the most outspoken members of the team, always wearing his Penn State pride on his sleeve. He was asked about senior day at the weekly press conference yesterday, and gave credit to his father, Joe Paterno, and his teammates for getting him where he is today. Here's Stephon Morris, just a few days before his last game in a Penn State uniform.

Franco Harris recently spoke at length to Bob Costas about the Sandusky scandal, Joe Paterno, and more. Here's the 15 minute interview with the former fullback who believes that when it is all said and done, Paterno's legacy will be "greater than ever."

It was the perfect storm for irrelevance. A meaningless game in the national scene, a noon kickoff, and the weekend before Thanksgiving break had many people writing this game off. But as it turned out, it was one of the most newsworthy games of the year after senior leader Michael Mauti went down with a season ending injury. Here are my observations from the stands.
