State College elections are nearly always decided in the Democratic primary. It’s likely these three candidates will be elected to serve on the Borough Council come November.

Although vote counts remain unofficial, Nanes has, so far, amassed 1,690 votes (66.5%), giving him a nearly two-to-one margin over Jim Leous.

It was the first week without a single positive since August.
Jacob Werner, who's collected 466 votes so far, is the only Republican candidate running for council.

This election's turnout already surpassed 2017's mayoral primary by nearly 200 votes.
